A great deal of work has been put in to the logistics of how we can bring students back to our campus safely. While no plan is perfect, administration, classified staff and teachers have joined together at Pleasant Valley to create protocol that takes into account all CDC guidelines, the expectation of parents and the well being of students and staff. These new procedures may look daunting at first, but as the days go by, we will build on what we have learned to improve our daily routines. Most importantly, we ask that all parents/guardians read How to Prepare Your child for In Person Classes During COVID19 and use the following documents to answer any questions. Spanish version HERE

The information provided below will be updated as procedures are finalized. Any significant changes will be sent directly to parents, then updated here as time allows.   After you have read all the instructions below, please email the school office with any further questions you have.

  • School Schedule TK-K  Schedule    1st Thru 5th grade Schedule   Your child will be put into a “learning cohort”. The intent is that students learn and socialize on and off campus with only that cohort to minimize possible virus exposure. You will receive an email notice of your child’s cohort.

  • Crisis Go – Daily Student Health Check In:  EACH DAY you will be required to fill out a health survey for your child BEFORE they can enter the campus. This will be done through a link sent to you via email each morning at 6:15 AM, using the primary email contact you have entered in Aeries.  You will fill out the form using your child’s school email and the password nusd123.

    • If you do not receive this email on a day your child is to be on campus, please NOTIFY the school office and use this temporary link:  https://checkin.crisisgo.net/tools/safetycheckin/#/loginByStudent

    • If your child is ill or has been marked as Quarantined and/or you do not receive a “green” pass from CrisisGo, please keep your child home and call the school office.

  • Entering/Exiting the Campus: We’ve created this map detailing where to drop off your child and what door your child will be exiting the school each day. It’s important that parents stick to these guides to help students maintain social distancing. Sidewalks will be marked to aid students.

  • Map of Designated Entryway Doors for classrooms: This is mainly for students. Entryways will be marked. Some areas, such as common rooms, are off limits to students.

  • Full Site Plan: This the site specific approved plan that PV submitted to the MCOE. Spanish version HERE.

  • Lunch: Lunch will be eaten at home or students may “Grab & Go”.  Students on campus who choose our NUSD meals will be able to pick up their lunch before they exit the building. On days your student is NOT on campus, they can pick up their lunch at various sites.  Menu and further information can be found HERE.

  • Illness at Home & School Protocol can be found in our latest COVID 19 Handbook for Parents  (Spanish version here) and our Healthcare / Nurse Page. (Under construction) This document has a page that parents will need to sign and return BEFORE your student can begin in person learning.  You should also use the  CURRENT DECISION TREE to help determine what to do when your child is not feeling well.
