For the next several weeks all NUSD students are doing remote learning from home in order to continue academics during the school closure. It is very important that your child maintains a similar routine during this time to keep up their learning and encourage feelings of safety and calm.

DAILY SCHEDULE

Your child will be responsible for daily assignments, activities and/or daily connection time as determined by your child’s teacher. This is a new process for all of us but rest assured that teachers and staff are available and ready to make your child’s remote learning successful.

8:30 AM

Though not required, many PV kids are enjoying Morning Movement with PV Parent, Amy Osborn.  Have your kids tune in Monday morning at 8:30 am PDT, when Amy will be doing a live “get the kids moving before school” 15 minute workout. Join Amy and her family in her home gym!

Click on the link, and let’s get moving!

9:00 AM

  • Kinder thru 1st grade teachers will send out assignments via Konstella each Monday at 9 AM and be in touch throughout the week. Those without printer access will be provided hard copies of assignments via their teacher.  If this apples to you and you will be picking up your child’s assignments, please CALL THE SCHOOL FIRST to make sure someone is available. Our staff & office hours are quite limited these days!

  • 2nd thru 5th Grade students will receive class assignments and instruction each day via Google Classroom.

HOW TO ACCESS GOOGLE CLASSROOM & ASSIGNMENTS

  • Each teacher has developed a classroom name, code, and instructions regarding how to navigate the assignments.

  • Videos are available online at https://nusd.org/remote-learning/ which can guide you in how to access Google Classroom.

If you do not have access to a computer for your child to complete their assignments, please call 415-493-4299.

HOW WE WILL KEEP IN CONTACT

  • Every day teachers will be available digitally from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. Look for instructions via your child’s class email list or Konstella

  • We will also be scheduling connection time to ensure our students feel safe, calm, and supported. Again, your child’s teacher will communicate this method via email.

  • The School Facebook page will provide updates and socialization for families via photos, video and etc. Please “Like” our FB Page and participate!

Thank you for helping us to support your child. Our strong community will ensure our students continue to feel safe and connected until we can resume classes in person.

 With much appreciation,

 Dana Sadan, Principal
