Our Annual Spelling Bee was held on Wednesday, September 19th. Twenty-two 4th and 5th graders competed in several exciting rounds to single out our best spellers. Participants had been previously identified as the top spellers in their classrooms through a written spelling contest, and were then invited to proceed to the school level Spelling Bee.
Congratulations to all the students who took part, and kudos to our winners: Caitlin B. for 1st place, Ian C. for 2nd place, and Chloe S. for 3rd place. They will now proceed to the Regional Spelling Bee which will be held on October 20th in San Jose. A huge thank you to our judges, Heather Sargent and Nancy O’Neill, and to Judy Barrera, 4th grade teacher, who coordinated and organized the entire event.
