December is a special time of the year for everyone. With Kwanzaa, Christmas and Hanukkah as well as other feasts being celebrated in the month of December, Pleasant Valley and all our NUSD schools take great care to ensure that no matter what is going on outside our doors, all children and their families feel safe and appreciated for who they are and what they believe. We welcome discussions about these topics during class circle time and invite our students to share cultural traditions during class parties if they feel comfortable.
