Restorative Justice may sound like a television crime show, but it’s actually part of NUSD’s Culture of Caring, one the District’s three key areas of focus this school year.

This Principal’s Coffee, Ms. Sadan will be leading a round table conversation about the role of Restorative Justice at school, what creating a Culture of Caring means in the classroom and the playground and how the practices can benefit students academically as well as socially.  Parents often have questions about Pleasant Valley’s plans to foster a culture of care and building relationships. This informal coffee with Principal Sadan is the perfect time to ask questions and learn the specifics of how we encourage community responsibility, understand natural consequence, make amends and teach effective resolution of conflicts. All are welcome to join us for coffee / tea this Thursday at 9 AM in the Library!

Other key areas of focus to be covered in future Principal Coffee’s are:

Culture of Competence &

Culture of Excellence
